China Mielville: I just finished the second book of this trilogy, Scar. His writing is exquisite, and the universe he creates here is endlessly interesting. Just found him and will read more, for sure.

I just finished the second book in China Mielville's Bas-Lag series. The world is kind of a combination of magic and steam punk? Imaginative and the writing is beautiful.
