Wasn't the rumor that AppleTV+ was the only offer the PAC12 had a couple years ago? And several schools felt they could do better and left for "greener pastures", destroying the PAC in the process? I was pretty excited back then as AppleTV+ does sports right and the monthly cost is low. 🤷

Forslund & Olczyk call national games each week too and our other Kraken announcers, Everett Fitzhugh and JT Brown, are pretty good as well and a lot more focused on the play by play. Very different vibe and you might have liked them better. Maybe next time!

There are a lot of local fans on the Kraken forums that aren't big fans either, lol. But plenty more that do. They had this exchange before the game even started - bsky.app/profile/mist...

Interesting take. Newer hockey/Kraken fans here and John Forslund & Eddie Olczyk are a big reason why my wife and I enjoy Kraken broadcasts so much! The Kraken were on TNT recently and the announcers were so sterile and boring we lost interest before the game ended. To each their own, I guess. 🍻
