This year is the tip of the iceberg for Notre Dame’s scheduling challenges. They’ll always be able to get great September match-ups. But what P4 conference teams will want to play them during conference season? The ones that need the money (i.e. the weaker brands) or top teams in weak conferences

Teams that need ND to fill their stadium…are likely not top teams. And top teams will not want to play ND during conference season, which will continue their joke of a schedule post-September.

And blame the Irish. Their defense was a sieve in September and their schedule afterwards was a joke. They refuse to join a conference so they can keep their own lucrative TV deal. They made their own bed and, of course, want to blame everyone else.

Zach - I still think about that 1989 game and how it cost Anthony Thompson the Heisman. One correction - that game was in Bloomington. I remember freezing my butt off in Memorial Stadium that day.

Umm, half of the NHL teams make the playoffs. In the first half of McDonald’s career 4 of 26-28 made it. In the 2nd half 8 of 28-30 made it.
