Ballad of a Small Player is visually quite the experience , but Ballad can never find the tone it is aiming for and the story is not very memorable , as ideas feel half thought out , that a good performance from Farrell can’t save it.

Deliver Me From Nowhere in its best moments gives a peak into the creative process and shows the emotional toll one can go though , and when you add Jeremy Allen White’s performance, there is enough there , that even the parts that didn’t work can’t stop this story .
