Mostly here for football stuff.
The Chelsea game was at 3 pm, on a Monday, in Atlanta, not surprising it didn't draw a massive crowd

Is there no end to this madness?

AND NOW HE'S THE GOAT🎊🎉

My main message though here is though, the phrase "worst in history" is used far to often. There have been a lot of transfers in the history of football, yet everyone has to act like things that they like or dislike are either the best or the worst.

I don't quite see for one what you read into my post, I said I didn't think he was a good signing. My hoping he proves me wrong is because that benefits Chelsea and he doesn't seem like a bad guy, so I hope he does well.

I get what you mean. But Drinkwater was considered a bad signing even when we made it, but he turned out even worse. Cost 50 million, was on relatively high wages and played just over 1100 minutes for Chelsea.

For one, don't think he was a good signing either, hope he proves me wrong. Secondly, even when saying among, it's still a stretch. And worse signings include Drinkwater, Antony, Lukaku to Chelsea, Kepa. These are just the ones off the top of my head
March 13, 2025 at 8:34 PM
Ok, people are far too liberal with the "worst in history" phrase. Do you genuinely think worst in history? Or just bad? Cause I can name you quite a few worse ones
March 13, 2025 at 8:29 PM
Wow, don't compare us with spurs, not even as a joke. No satire is worth such analogies

I also didn't enjoy over the summer how he constantly said Jackson's not good enough, we need Osihmen. Now wether Jackson is good enough or not is one thing, but don't bang on about it non stop and keep pushing for Osihmen over and over again. It got honestly rather annoying.

I can understand Felix and Nkunku wanting to leave. They're both good players, too good to be constantly on the bench, but Palmer has solidified that number 10 spot as his own.

Woah, leave our Chelsea fella out of this. This is an Everton discussion.

Between the two I'm less sure about Tosin, I do agree though that Disasi is third of the three. I actually like him as a player and think he could do in the prem, he's just more of a box playing center back than a build up one, if you know what I mean

Was nice to see George playing, he looks really good, wish he had gotten a goal
January 11, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Overlooked? People have been waxing lyrically about them for years. Palmer hasn't been around as long so it is news. Salah posting high numbers is not news anymore, Palmer doing it in his first season is.

Every Friday night, mate. Every time I say to myself, just some judicial oversight, but then bam, martial law. Next day so regret it, tell myself never again, but the following weekend, the same god damn thing.
December 7, 2024 at 7:26 PM
Congrats mate, know you'll do an excellent job
December 7, 2024 at 7:14 PM
But then we'd also have to review the first yellow for it to be fair, which would make VAR more intrusive than it already is
December 7, 2024 at 6:02 PM
And then down the spiked mayonnaise
November 29, 2024 at 2:49 PM
Of course. Maybe a better question would be, which ones do you want see come off the bench?
November 28, 2024 at 2:57 PM
Looks about right. Which youngsters you think will come off the bench if any?

How feasible is it for the MLS to grow to the extent that it can actually attract top level players? It feels like the entire sport needs investment and restructuring to even hope to rise in stature. It doesn't feel like there's the will and willingness to do this.

Less concerned about ex players, some of them seem to always hark back to the "good old days". Maybe ex players should be involved in the formulation of rules, but it seems that quite often they're judging situations on the rules that used to exist, not as they are now
November 26, 2024 at 5:18 PM
I of course can understand some of the criticism he got last season, but it did quite often feel like a I-want-a-shiny-new-toy syndrome was going around. Everybody seemed to have a favourite striker that Chelsea needed to sign. Jackson's showing patience can be rewarded.

Do you think there should be dedicated VAR refs? It just kind of makes sense to me, the requirements are different to an on-field ref
