It was such a weird edge case that no normal customer service person knew what I was talking about or cared. Lesson learned. Physical media with your own digital backups is really the only option if you care about shit like this.

Learned this lesson many moons ago when it was called Google Music. I purchased a digital version of the "extended" edition of an album. Each track was significantly longer than it's standard version. Once it switched to Play Music or whatever the heck, all of a sudden I had the standard version.

Oddity was so good it got me to revisit Caveat. McCarthy can really build tension and pull off “jump scares” in a way that doesn’t feel like a cheap trick. It’s GREAT stuff.
