They're one of those items that are nice to have on hand (pardon the pun). Would much rather have them and not need them than the alternative. Also can't believe that my first two posts on this website are diaper related.

Dad of a 17 month old here - I swiped a couple pairs of latex gloves from the nurses on day 1 at the hospital and then bought more when we got home. Haven't done a no. 2 without them. My wife mocks me but it makes the messy ones much more tolerable.
