Please put Brent out of his misery if he ever starts doing that!

I start every sentence with "I" or "we". I can't help it. I think I have a problem.

In these cases, it's acceptable to time your trip based on the expected drive times of Google/Apple Maps (or equivalent), which account for traffic to a degree. If they're wrong, you can use the "appeal to (automated) authority" defense. 🤖

Of course if it's a long drive or there's highly variable traffic, the rules are relaxed. (Yes we've been late to Paul n Aaron's! 😂)

I was going to say the same thing.

Larger gatherings can stretch to 6:25. Don't want to be the first there!

Right?!

Will do. Is the topping too sweet? (it sounds pretty good!) Or is it just not authentic Grandma Myers?
October 9, 2025 at 3:28 PM
😂 I'll let her know to watch out for that!
October 9, 2025 at 3:21 PM
Oooh. I'm going to pass this recipe to my resident baker!

They have live music there in the evening. 🎵

It was 110F when we were in Seville. These canopies helped a ton. Amazing what a little shade will do

They didn't need a Youngkin clone. Literally any "White MAGA Dude" would do better for them than Sears. I like Spanberger, but she's not a very strong D candidate. Her milquetoast campaign has been uninspiring. (I'll still enthusiastically fill in the circle next to her name.)

I'm baffled by the GOP strategy. Knowing full well their base is racist and misogynistic, they decide to run a kinda weird, black woman at the top of the ticket. How is that a winning strategy?

They won in 2022 with a "traditional Republican" white dude. Were they all out of those?

Vote Colbert / Kimmel - 2028! (Or vice versa)

I'm going with Slim Miller.

I'm wondering if there's a more selfish motive -- they don't want to be targets of retribution.

I agree that we probably shouldn't be exacerbating the problem by building datacenters in areas with high drought risk. But that's not an inherent problem with AI. We can and do build datacenters elsewhere.

The interviewers can look at the AI interview when it's convenient for the interviewer, run it at higher speed, and skip around. You can get a good feel for the candidate in minutes. An email doesn't tell anything about the the candidate's in person communication skills.
September 10, 2025 at 10:18 AM
The AI is the moderator of the interview. We still do watch the interviews and form our own opinions on the candidates. We just don’t have to do it real time.

Then we need to build more renewable power generation too.
