Did they though? I think most people voted for cheaper gas and eggs because Fox, etc, told them the economy was bad and people actually felt monetary pressure in their households. Getting rid of the EEO is not going to suddenly get them a raise.

This highlights the complexity of public health messaging. The public wasn’t lied to. The messaging changed because the data kept compiling and new recommendations were needed. In my view there was one enormous mistake in messaging in 2021, and that was when the CDC said you didn’t need a mask.
