the moral of the story is this: if you feel unwelcome with people that you give so much for, but never get anything in return, drop them. it will hurt for a while, but eventually you’ll feel even better than before.

i did a lot for all of them as well (helped one of them stop being suicidal, helped another stop being a GIANT bigot, now is only an asshole, helped them with studying when they asked) and they did nothing for me. i didn’t feel welcomed with them, more like i was just a tool. or a punching bag.

… to stop hanging out with them when i didn’t need to. i felt sad and lonely for a week, but gradually became even more confident of a person and proud of what im passionate about and just generally happy than i was when i was friends with them.
