No business as usual during a genocide 🍉🇵🇸
That’s the key in this vague statement by Microsoft: if you treat a whole population (under illegal occupation) as terrorists (also MSFT basically accepting the false labelling of Palestinians as terrorists), then it’s ok. MSFt directly buys into and legitimises Israel’s apartheid and surveillance

If you are in Athens for #facct2025 consider joining our CRAFT discussion on "the hidden costs of digital sovereignty: Greece's data infrastructures as a site of political contestation" on Tuesday, 24 June at 18:00, at ENA Institute for Alternative Policies

Airbnb’s CEO, the company that rents vacation homes in illegal settlements built on stolen Palestinian land, exacerbated housing crises across the world and expedited gentrification now wants to be a “community” while the WIRED still works as the industry’s booster 🤢 It’s all so banal lol

Today with 5000 more colleagues we held a strike against the short-sighted budget cuts implemented by the Dutch far-right govt. from higher education and research. The money should be going towards critical thinking, social welfare and culture, not funding wars, genocides and militarisation.

Amsterdam stands again in solidarity with people all over Greece and beyond protesting the Greek state’s criminal politics that led to the deadly train crash two years ago, as well as the govt’s attempt to cover up its responsibilities

No justice, no peace. Solidarity (and in awe) with the people showing up everywhere to protest the state coverup of the fatal and criminal train wreck that killed 57 people two years ago at Tempi, Greece. A tragedy due to years of neglect and degradation of our railway because of austerity.

What an honor to see live the UN's Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, in Amsterdam. In a place full of people with empathy and care, showing up against genocide.

David Graeber more than 10 years ago obliterating liberal/mainstream leftist voices (I’d say social democrats but not only) with an acute diagnosis of the rise of far right and fascist forces

Fuck off genocidal fascist

Love that from @404media.co lmao

Amsterdam joins its voice with the hundreds of thousands in Greece and across Europe against the Greek government’s attempt to cover-up its murderous responsibility that caused the #Tempi fatal crash that took 57 lives-most of them young students-in February 2023.

Google Earth is updating its satellite images of Gaza. This is just a small example of what Gaza’s complete destruction looks like in a period of less than a year (near Jabalia.) We shouldn’t forget what and who enabled this genocide.

Meta’s bleeding money or what?! This pop-up came up after literally I scrolled past 3 posts. So it’s not even excessive use.

“But the Executive Board has been hiding behind bureaucracy for months. Even when it comes to fundamental rights, they do not dare to make choices. Employees are quite understandably frustrated about this. They are now saying: enough is enough, get over it or we will take action.” 🇵🇸

Not only does X frame it as "a narrow subset of EU research related to the DSA" but also the form to submit a request is a Google docs form lmao. Nice way to comply with Art. 40 DSA

Form here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

Extremely engaging and political discussions on the rise of extreme right wing / fascist discourse on mainstream media and social media in Greece (and beyond ofc) at a bar/library (a fantastic mélange!). Snaps of @smykos.bsky.social, Panos Tsimboukis and Dimitris Elafropoulos from LERASS, Toulouse

One of the posts made clear that Ilias Kasidiaris, a now-convicted ex-member of the neo-Nazist party of Golden Dawn, supported Spartans (the leader of the party itself thanked Kasidiaris after their electoral success). I think this policy change is also particularly important. 2/3
