(( If you put your voice out on the internet you can expect it to be heard, repeated, imitated, bashed, and more. That's one of the risks of putting things online. Which is exactly the case when you made your comment instead of messaging her privately. This didn't need to be here yet here we are. ))

(( Not only did the podcast name that the article was from the Observer, it was also done like she was reading it directly in places and inserting her own opinions in. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing that. She is NOT a journalist, she is a podcaster. There is a massive difference. ))

I really don't know much about Hathian. I haven't been there but I did see one article on these feeds. It's a mess from the looks of it but it's their mess, not mine. I'm here to write about Laveau.

If you think even half the news isn't riddled with lies you are delusional. Someone always pays someone somewhere to say what they want them to say or to not say it. Or there is often some ulterior motive. I've seen it way too many times. I don't cater to it but many reporters do.

Not wanting to talk about that night doesn't explain the request for a picture removal. Nor was it what I asked for. I asked for identification. The rest are just your assumptions.

Reporting requires a certain level of insensitivity or you'll end up in a mental ward or unable to write anything because you care too much who it will offend. There is also the unfortunate side effect of it injecting lies or half truths into one's work.

Also because I was told to remove the picture. Which usually means there is something important about it or whomever is in it. Something someone doesn't want seen.
