Hello, I believe it is not set in stone. Because we are doing a free PDF zine, we can handle the book formatting; however, because artists will be using RGB color settings (which look best on a computer and online rather than in print since its PDF), it would be a pain to color-correct art to CMYK.

Not OP but you could maybe offer a printable version in CMYK color settings so people can print the zine at home (just an idea, as I love print versions and own a stapler haha)

We've brought this question to our mods, and as it stands, we are considering adding comics + scenarist option, combination art (art and writing in one), and a spot art artist to our artist application. We are highly interested in poetry being a part of the zine.

We were also thinking about this! Right now we are still waiting on the results of the Interest Check before we make any final decisions, so it will depend a lot on if this is something people are willing/able to do. But thank you so much for your thoughts, and we have forwarded it to our mod team.

We’d love to do a physical zine, but right now it’s just not realistic for us. Printing comes with a big upfront cost, plus taxes and admin stuff, and shipping (especially international) gets expensive very fast. For now, a digital format allows us to focus our energy
