Here's a quick chart showing fate of a single year of Canada Harvested Wood. 1/3 is CO2 in first year; 1/2 by year 4; 60% by year 8. Most harvested wood products are very short lived: fuel, paper, etc.

Canada just axed the carbon tax on one third of the nation's emissions. That makes buying fossil fuels $20b cheaper this year and undercuts climate solutions like BEVs and heat pumps by thousands of dollars. My latest article at: www.nationalobserver.com/2025/03/31/a...
