No worries. I was more blaming your old man for duff information to be honest 🙂. I was 9 when Lineker arrived and so gutted when he left after one season. Mind you I have been the same many times since, Trevor Steven, Big Dunc, Lukaku...

It would have been huge money in the lower leagues but Leicester were a top flight side and had been for a while. Lineker never played in the lower leagues. Still a lot of money for the time though even in Division One (old money) 🙂
