The preoccupation with power. People who 'miss' the multiplicity and diversity of all things and mistake the simplicity of their view with completeness. They quietly or loudly rail against things they consider not good enough and actively erode the circles they inhabit. Opportunists. Scavengers.

No. I think that's a gross reduction of what online TTRPG feeds, FLGS, Cons, etc. Amount to.
They aren't a community, too. That's marketing lingo.

What's toxic is the active incentive towards those traits by moneyed interests in EVERY sector
