“No problem. Just wanted to flag it with you. God bless” and then you walk away and don’t engage. We don’t change the world or fellow Christians by arguing with them. We do it by showing a better way of living. 5/5

It seems to me the answer is to gently correct them. Show them the error of their ways. Then if they lash back out at you the ironically you are then the one trying to do right being persecuted for it. 1 Peter shows us that the way to respond to that is in love and gentleness 4/

Peter seems to be directly addressing that sort of behaviour and thinking. But the answer isn’t to go to those people and go see you are a terrible person, because that will just lead to more conflict. 3/

In other words, make sure you’re not being persecuted because you are a jerk. That dishonours God. It seems to me many Christians purposely antagonise people knowing they will get a reaction and then point to that ‘persecution’ as evidence they’re doing the right thing. 2/
