Got and read through the Delicious in Dungeon manga boxset earlier. Loved it. Given the premise of the series & 1 month deadline for killing the dragon, I was expecting the series to be about various misadventures & barely making the deadline but was pleasantly surprised w/the direction things took.

A Fool tarot card illustrated by @Caaaarrrrll.bsky.social depicting my character Bryce the Alligator, an anthromorphic orange alligator, as the wandering swordsman Miyamoto Usagi from the Usagi Yojimbo series by Stan Sakai. The piece is primarily a 3/4 portrait view of Bryce focusing primarily on the right side of his body. Just like Usagi, Bryce in this piece can be seen wearing a blue kimono with multiple mon, or crests, of his old clan visible on the kimono consisting of a white circle and three black dots, meant to invoke the image of a rabbit's foot according to author Stan Saki. Two "mon" are visible on this piece, the one on the right of his chest & one on the underside of his right arm. However, Usagi, or Bryce in his case has five on these "mon" in total: one on each side of his chest, one on the underside of each arm of his kimono and a large one on his back. Bryce's hands can both be seen resting on his katana, ready to draw it on a moment's notice. In terms of lore, Bryce was originally a swordsman from another world in service of a woman of significant importance. However, this woman met with a terrible fate & passed away. Filled with grief, Bryce was determined to do anything to bring her back to life & attempted to learn whatever he could about magic to do so. His attempts at reviving her however not only failed but ended up sending him to another world, a modern world reminiscent of our own. Since then, Bryce realized his arrogance & now focuses on using magic to do good wherever he can. Bryce is capable of using a wide variety of magic but his specialties are inspired by the character from Riki from the original Xenoblade Chronicles & as such, just like him, Bryce focuses on status-effect / damage-over-time (DOT) spells. Being able to cause burn / chill damage Bryce is also skilled with Fire & Ice magics. Bryce is also extremely skilled in transformation magic, being able to take on the appearance of any type of animal/person.
