In every fire up here the trees in the riparian areas have a high rate of survival due to their hydration.

The explosion of the smallest plants is encouraging.

Juan does a good job and has extensive knowledge about Boeing acft systems. From the vid the RAT is for sure deployed.
June 14, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Looks like the RAT was deployed indicating a serious, multiple systems failure. Must have happened after their decision distance/ speed.

Tragic.

I’m done speculating, we’ll wait for the report.

… a lot of things mainly to do with color interpretation. I’m assuming you are looking at RAW files. Lemme know if you want to go down that rabbit hole or I can respectfully shut up. 🙂

It could be a filter. Are you using a UV filter on your OM? You can take a look at the sensor specs to see if there is one incorporated.

When you pull an image file into an editing program the WB the program uses is what was recorded by the camera and it also applies a profile which interprets

Excellent question. It is probably the different white balance settings. You may have it set manually in your OM and your phone is in auto and trying to figure out what is going on. You can look at the EXIF and compare.

Yes. And at some point they probably pushed the throttles to the stops.

Yes, human factors etc. The Pakistani flight landing gear up.

Geez, Jen! You have to remember the flight crew doesn’t want to crash either :)

I don’t fly anymore btw too many brushes

I believe retracting the flaps just after rotation with the gear down would result in a condition where you would not be able to accelerate to an airspeed you could climb. And yes high density altitude exacerbates the problem.

I looked at the video, and while I wouldn't want to speculate, I'm thinking it was the crew raising the flaps thinking it was the gear. Just tragic tbh
