Finally found and installed the right lights for the Monkey Island Gateway monitor lamp! Somebody tell Ron Gilbert.
Having a grand time playing Carnival (@beyondbooleans.bsky.social) right now. Love how it freely mixes pixel art resolutions. Gorgeous soundtrack. And its setting and themes are bringing to mind both Daphne du Maurier's Don't Look Now and Flight of the Falcon, which I read recently!

There have been some duds but I've discovered or rediscovered some all time favorite games this year! SaGa Frontier 2 is definitely up there now. And even the bad games were ones I still really wanted to experience.

I love how it starts in this enormous, empty New Mexico desert level. It takes so long to get to the trailer where a guy explains the goal of the area to you. It's like it's telling me if I don't have the patience for this, then maybe this is not the game for me.

Finished the Korean PS2 horror game Mystic Nights the other night! It was a budget game (derogatory), but I really loved the monster designs. The gameplay was mostly a grind fest because you had to level up your weapons, and the maze-like level design was bland. Cool music though!

Finished! It's really bad, I would say worse than Paradise. But there is truth in advertising because the island does in fact sink, is in fact sinking during the events of the game.
