I am from Salt Lake City, Utah originally. I appreciate the quiet town life I have now. 5 cars at a traffic light is "Heavy". I do miss my outdoors activities. Iowa only has about 3% of its lands as public, Utah is around 50%.

I live in Iowa. I understand how you may feel but yes, most of the people in this state were raised in Barns. I also don't think you are taking into account your own manners. The US is not just one type of culture and respect goes both ways. This isn't a "flyover" state, people live here too.

As an Ex-Mormon, I'm not surprised a business disguised as a Religion can garner so many followers. People are afraid of death and all Religions take advantage of this weakness. "Pay tithing and live forever with God." Until people can come to terms with their own mortality, Religion will exist.
