During WW2 and the cold war the US had a number of bases in Greenland. If the US is concerned about Russian or Chinese ships around Greenland then they can reopen those bases in agreement with the Greenland and Danish governments.

While I am not an electrical engineer I have spent time on power station construction / commissioning. My understanding is that variations in the frequency of the grid are corrected by varying the speed of a turbogenerator. Renewables have no such capability. Nuclear + renewables is the solution.

How exactly do you tariff a film? Are they imported on big reels or as digital files downloaded from the cloud? How do you assess the monetary value, production cost or expected revenue from US screening? What if it's shown on TV and not in a cinema?

Where do they think £ for their pension comes from? "But I've paid in for all these years!". They don't realise that what they paid in went to pay for the Humber Bridge, Channel Tunnel, Iraq war etc etc.

Is it true that our nuclear deterrent is also subject to an American veto? The warheads may be UK design and manufacture but the missiles are American design and manufacture.
