I’m absolutely heartbroken.

Along with Olivia de Havilland, my favorite screen actress of all time.

(Pictured here in 1981‘s REDS)

Rest in Peace.

The view from my desk. Love Robert Redford -- star and/or director of many of my favorite films (this one included).

But also a great humanitarian and with one of the great film legacies -- the impact of Sundance almost impossible to full measure.

Rest in Peace.

I haven’t read a Star Wars book since Zahn’s Thrawn trilogy when I was in middle school…

… this new history of the Empire by @chriskempshall.bsky.social is RIVETING! Can’t put it down, great fun.

Happy Father’s Day to the greatest ‘Movie Dad’ of all time!

(And if you have no idea who this is, I am sorry! Remedy this!)

Rewatched (the brilliant) first Mission Impossible’ last night and I did have one question:

What did poor William Donloe DO in that vault all day? Organize the file folders on his desktop? What did they need him for?

When I was at Juilliard, I remember frequently marveling at this photo, one of many that used to hang in the drama theater lobby.

It’s Val in ‘Troilus and Cressida’ during his time there (opposite Linda Kozlowski, later of ‘Crocodile Dundee’ fame). RIP

Suffered a loss recently and been listening to three truly beautiful grief/love songs over and over -- all from Paul McCartney's FLAMING PIE album: Calico Skies, Somedays, and Little Willow -- the last one written, I believe, for Ringo's first wife when she passed... 1/2

Unless I'm reading his statement wrong... he's not saying AI rendered pre-visualizations of the art/buildings? Did I miss something?
