tldr; Polyamines mediate mitochondrial structure/function, and without polyamines, mitos are malformed and the cell can't undergo oxphos. So what's a cell to do? GLYCOLYSIS!!!!!

We had known for years that our Huh7 liver cells had these huge lipid droplets when they were depleted of polyamines - Jeremy and I first saw it when we did EM in 2019! Flash forward five years, and this project evolved!
