I don't share my podcast here but I'm very proud of this episode. Those that know my tastes in film know how much I love JTRO's work, so this was like a dream come true. Thanks for this.
I did a fun new podcast with the rad peeps over at @cynic-critique.bsky.social chatting about my movies, my new book INVASION OUTBACK and my new interactive movie AFAR! Enjoy!

So pleased to be backing this project, I can't wait to see it get finished. @jasontrost.bsky.social is one of the best indie film makers working. Maybe an acquired taste, but we'll worth checking out.

As odd as this is, why doesn't it warn you on toothpaste about getting it in the eye??!! Absolutely stings and was not easy to rinse out. I guess it's something to add to my list of strange things I've gotten in my eye. It's probably a curse or a poor superpower.

It's been a month or so. I should probably have it spinning again.
Gutted Part 2 keeps getting pushed back.

Looking to figure out my top 10 films of the year and remember this awesome film from the beginning of the year. Hard to describe due to its blending of genres, it's certainly going in my Top 10. Masterpiece.

Films have been a part of my life for 30+ years and I never thought I'd feel for a film the way I do about The Batman.
I don't think I've seen a better live action adaptation of the comics than what this film achieved.

Sometimes there are better words to play but there's no better word than Batman.

I guess he's William Disappeared now though.

Did not expect Super/man The Christopher Reeve Story to have me so emotional. Haven't felt like that since the Val documentary. It's funny how you don't always realise what something means to you.
I'm not crying, you're crying.

Was pleased for these volumes of GlassCity comics written by David Cranna to arrive from Kickstarter last week.
Not long since read all 3 through, I was only going to read the first 1.
It opens very strong, and the art by Roman Gubskii is sharp, bold edgy inks with rather soothing colours that pop.

Who has seen this film?📽️

I just got back from a screening and I'm quite torn on. There's a lot to like, but it felt empty in its conclusion. The cast are great, the cinematography is beautiful, but the plot itself feels a little lacking.

Introduce yourself with
One book 📚
One movie 🎥
One album 💿
One tv show 📺

These are not necessarily my favorite book/movie/album/tv show, but they are at this current moment in time.

The Penguin is one of the best comic book related shows. In continues the character's arc from The Batman without it feeling like it was a cash grab reaction from the studio. It was a artistic, well written, well acted continuation that holds up on its on merits.
Incredible job!!
