East Coaster on the left coast. Beantown born. Carolina raised. Pizza snob (New Haven, baby). History buff. Movie junkie. It’s all about the middle class.
Decades of integrity and achievement gone in just a few short months. Gone. Remarkable.

CBS News and 60 Minutes—sad to say—should be immediately written off as a source of journalism. They’re very clear who they serve and it’s not the public good. What a legacy to end.

We will dismantle ICE.

We will re-rename the Kennedy Center.

We will tear down the ballroom.

We will investigate the entire Trump family for corruption.

We will deport Melania Trump.

We will charge Hegseth with war crimes.

We will indict the entire Trump cabinet.

We will lock them up.

Imagine getting the honor—yes, it’s an honor—of serving in the United States Congress and doing THAT with it.

Which is true. They are.

We should be considering that he is intentionally breaking the economy so that he can exert more personal control over it, thereby using that control to do more to corruptly grift off the system he’s forcing on us. Nothing in his policies this year suggests anything else.

Throughout history the politician most effective at using the media of the era has been rewarded. Social media is designed to promote attention seekers and rage baiters, at the expense of everything else. And in Trump it’s found its perfect, depraved champion.

Worst ever.

He's the most transparently immoral person I can recall in American public life. Anyone who thinks we can immerse ourselves in his depravity for years on end and not pay a dear price as a society and culture isn't being honest.

The perfect best friend for Donald Trump.
December 16, 2025 at 3:00 PM
He is systematically dismantling the US economy with terrible policies, and the entirety of the Republican Party is standing by watching it happen--condoning the daily lies--in violation of every shred of economic sense they ever had. Will never, ever, ever, ever trust any of them again.

The question I wish he’d get: “are you no longer capable of basic adult self control?”

Not a shred of decency.

"But we say things like 'but we serve a just god' because talk is cheap and that's what pays the bills."

The right has created a vast fictional universe used to justify their worst indecencies and crimes. They are morally adrift and we now all pay for it.

Cruel and petty. A bottomless desire to insult and offend with the soul motivation being to make a group of voters happy who delight in seeing people to insulted and offended. The party of Christian values.

Dedicate it as the Obama Ballroom.

That may be clear but it shouldn’t be anymore. Editors and producers need to let reporters take off the gloves.

Got a rice cooker last Christmas and use it obsessively, to the point where my son now occasionally grumbles “great, rice” when he sees me get it out at dinner.

Great purchase.

He’s a lecherous dirty old man.

Hegseth swore he had solid and inconvertible evidence of the guilt of each of these men, but they were absolutely terrified of letting any of them come near a US court. Their testimonies would convince people they were just fishermen (who may have smuggled), but definitely not trained terrorists.
NEW: Pentagon lawyers asked State Dept. if US could send survivors of Trump's boat strikes to a notorious prison in El Salvador. Then Pentagon pushed to have survivors sent anywhere but the US — to prevent any US court cases. Gift link to our @nytimes.com story: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/09/u...

“You didn’t hear me say that we have a plan.”

Incapable of governing. Zero ideas to solve the challenges of the bottom 95%. Their entire agenda is to pacify the base with cultural red meat while funneling all of our money into oligarch pockets.
