Oh here we go again, they couldn’t stop fluoridation with their pseudo science so now they are trying to stop it cause “fiscal responsibility”

Somehow I have my doubts that the Moe will agree to cutting money in his coffers

Man if only we could have the spicier version.

If Numbers Guy Bezos wants an even closer example, maybe he should ask Temple Gardens in Moose Jaw about geothermal

Almost like climate change doesn’t fit nicely with being financially feasible cause it was ignored for decades, just like everything else that goes up in price when you wait like… I don’t know… lets say a pool?

Sanity prevailed, and 10 hours of our lives wasted in the process.

For the record, fluoride doesn’t corrode anymore than chlorine does to pipes which is to say very little.
May 2, 2025 at 5:16 PM
Even more funny is, depending on the water source, fluoride can already be present in water due to erosion and other factors.
May 2, 2025 at 4:45 PM
I’m not an expert either but all chemicals used in this fashion are byproducts because… shockingly… you can’t just scoop up a bunch of rock or soil and pick out fluoride atoms. Typically fluoride is made as a byproduct of phosphate production which, surprise! is also used in water treatment!

So she’s got a problem with how democracy works?
May 2, 2025 at 4:34 PM
Boy is this guy gonna be surprised how many processes it takes and how many chemicals is used to make water clear/clean in the first place if, you know, they bothered to do research on water treatment

Because it boils at -34 C*

Dang my fingers..

There’s alot of interesting factoids about Chlorine, it’s a very fascinating element. For instance, it’s kept in a gaseous state cause to it boils -34 C.

You want to keep it a solid you have to store that stuff in a freezer.
