It was pretty trite nonsense as far as I'm concerned. "Sunlight is the best disinfectant". This isn't 2010 anymore, we've seen what happens when you give the far right sunlight.

I mean, it's not like Kruger defected to Reform to disavow the kind of views Lam put out yesterday is it? Who cares if he has a scholarly interest in Burke alongside them?

The trick of the right at the minute is the ability to say the individual extremists on the left are representative, and the institutional extremists on the right aren't. I'm not sure how you fight that asymmetry, I used to think it was denouncing the individuals but doesn't seem to have worked.

I'm not gonna get debate bro but there's an argument that that supports what I'm saying isn't there? That this was all fine until the problems were exacerbated by something. You just think the something is different than I remember I guess.

Its not my point. I agreed with him a lot on paper. Even with low key stuff like not wearing a tie or not singing the national anthem. I'm not a royalist, I don't sing the national anthem. But not doing it then backing down after (obviously) getting pushback from hostile media? Just pathetic stuff

Im against trident, but he undermined that decision from the off because it was against his opinion. No real point having a deterrent you've already ruled out ever using. Putting it on a labour manifesto when you've done that is emblematic of his leadership and why he failed so abysmally.

I dont know about the foot years, but for me Corbyn failed because he was consistently an idiot, not because he was left wing. On issues I agreed and disagreed with him on, he consistently took the wrong approach. Does the left in this country just not produce competent leaders?

The bill seems to have provisions for doctors to properly perform checks and balances to mitigate the risks of this kind of thing. The argument for me is is it realistic to expect them to be properly done when they're already working 60 hour weeks?
