Exactly. A campaign organiser does not necessarily make a good chief of staff. In an election campaign you’ll say and do whatever it takes to win. That doesn’t work when you are governing. The sacking of Sue Gray showed Starmer’s weakness and his inability to stand up to McSweeney.

Have a look at BBC Scotland. Apart from the National newspaper, every paper is viscerally opposed to SNP / Scottish Government and BBC always use their front pages to set their news agenda. Do Lab/Tory/ LibDem object? No - they feed their lines to the media and they are happy to cheerlead.

You think the treat of Labour is bad? You want to have a look at how the SNP Scottish Government is treated by the media. And Labour’s Scottish branch is the main cheerleader. Total hypocrites.

You are mistaken. I live in Scotland and people I know are fully aware if they pay higher taxes than those who live in England. Also not all people in Scotland pay higher income tax. Those on lower incomes actually pay lower income tax than in England. People on higher bands pay higher income tax.

Or instead have regional electricity pricing that would reduce energy costs in Scotland relative to England. Think what that would do for consumers and economic development in Scotland. But the Labour Government refuse to do this. I wonder why.

If by “ Scottish nationalists” you mean people who support Scottish independence, then I know many of them and not one believes that a newly independent Scotland would be able to immediately rejoin the EU. It would be for the Scottish Parliament to legislate and no doubt would involve a referendum

Labour happy to see the Branchform investigation into how SNP members £640k contributions were spent . Gone on for 4 years and cost £2.7m. Still no date for a trial. Don’t give me all the pearl clutching over Labour’s problems. Has every source and spend by Labour Together been scrutinised? No!

It may be harsh but I think that it is a reasonable view of the implications of the Planning Bill, you can destroy the local environment so long as you stump up cash to be spent where the government decides. Almost Trumpian in concept.
