The Library will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday, 25th August (2025).
Our online services will still be available, including 24-hour virtual support.
Hopefully it will be a nice summer day and we can go to the park to throw a frisbee around before having a nice sit down to read a book...
August 18, 2025 at 10:59 AM
We have self-service kiosks on each floor which enable you to access the Library website, book group study rooms or check the catalogue for books and where to find them. Good, eh?

We do enjoy the views from the Library... in this one, for example, you can see a bit of a tree and some of the Hamilton building. If we look down, there are students and a pigeon and a man walking a dog. It's all terribly exciting for a Monday morning and we might need to have a bit of a sit down.

Final year student? Graduating this summer? Don't forget to bring your books back!
We don't like to moan but, if we don't remind you, our supervisor will shave "DO BETTER" into our head with a pair of rusty hair clippers and we don't think we can pull that look off over the summer...
June 3, 2025 at 12:20 PM
It's Sunday, we're quiet, so why not take Depeche Mode's advice and Enjoy The Silence?
We close at 7pm, btw.

Don't forget to return your books!
May 27, 2025 at 2:29 PM

Apparently it was World Goth Day yesterday and we missed a chance to post a photo of Goth Izzy.

Still, if anyone would like to create a Goth Izzy artwork we'd love to see it!

When your exams and assessments have finished, and you're sprinting towards the end of term/summer, don't forget to return your Library books...
May 19, 2025 at 10:14 AM
We've had some more books added to our Reading For Pleasure display on the ground floor of the Library, so once your exams/assessments are over and you want something to relax with, pop-in and have a browse (and don't forget our huuuuuge fiction section on the second floor)!
May 18, 2025 at 11:37 AM
It's easy to contact the Library!
You could write on a wall (hoping one of us walks past) or you could hire a sky writer to notify us of your enquiry but, generally speaking, it is easiest to use our 24/7 chat service via the Library website or to email us direct via library@brunel.ac.uk !
May 14, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Some more books going into our Reading For Pleasure display/Fiction area. Hurray!
