Trying my hand at multigrain since my system tends to like it better. They both came out good but I like the flax meal focused one better than the rye. More flavor and moisture to it. A lot less dry.

It’s been a minute since I’ve pulled out this lovey little lady and she still, even with her quirks and bumps and thumps, spins like a dream. And that’s saying something for an approximately 75 year old gal. She’s a somewhere between 50s and 70s Dutch Flax Wheel. Just tryin’ to finish this cloud.

Since the start of this month the Tour de Fleece which coincides with the Tour de France has been underway for 2025. I haven’t spun a lot but I’ve spun some. This pink was all Blue Faced Leicester (pronounced leh-ster). Spins beautifully.

What do you do when your brain FINALLY decides it’s awake after laying in bed and dozing on and off for an hour? Why, spin of course! What else could I possibly do that would be quiet enough to not wake the whole house, including the snoring pupper right next to me? 🤣🥰

Now that Spring has begun, all the greenery is growing back, flowers have bloomed, and even some dandelions have already gone to seed, that means it’s time for the yearly herbal work to begin. New tinctures, oils, salves, teas, herb bundles drying from the rafters. All with a little tea in between.
