Trans people have always been here. The Hijra are an example of this, you should know seeing as how your wife is Hindu. Elgabalus of 1866, the two spirit Whe'wha of 1849 and Albert Cashier a union soldier in our own civil war are only a few examples of this. Trans people are here to stay.

Of course there is no medical consensus to treat gender dysphoria. The DSM itself articulates that it "is not in itself a mental disorder". Aside from biological causes of gender dysphoria, the other causes are (unnecessarily) societal.

Not all sex transition treatments are even irreversible--which is why puberty blockers are used. In Tennessee a 17 year old can marry but not use puberty blockers? An 11 year old child have a forced birth but not use puberty blockers?

We work to stop this by providing adults and children with resources and skills to meet their goals and thrive in a way that suits them.

The group home’s focus, however is on behavioral concerns that may be too challenging to address at home. I’ve seen children who will head bang until they die, I’ve seen children become victims of police brutality brutality,

-Children use Medicaid in out of home placements as well as for in home services. In home services are provided to ensure that skill gains occur in the natural environment/are relevant outside of a learning environment.

-Children with an IEP at school will miss out on key services necessary for the acquisition of skills that make their lives better and ultimately prepare them for life in ways that traditional school programming does not. Interruption of these services are harmful!

-Adults in group homes receiving lifesaving treatments and equipment will die
