There is no Glicked. There is no need to tie this very successful film to a movie no one cares about. How about we talk about how successful this musical adaptation is since they love to talk about when it isn’t.

Uh, because no other movie has ever split into two parts to better tell the story? Both of these films are superior storytelling by most accounts. And people are showing up for it. I’m actually not a huge Wicked fan, but am told by those I trust this will surprise and delight.

So what they meant to write is, Barbie and Wicked, both movies centering women, have blockbuster openings well over $100 million. But we insist on tying them to less popular movies centering men merely because they open the same weekend and dragging down Wicked’s stellar performance by doing so.
