Daicey moments™️ (4/10)

This is the longest comic I’ve done in a long time and I’m so happy it was for these two 🥰💕

My partner and I were thinking about which of our OCs would be who from Nier Replicant— Daichi makes one hell of a shadowlord hehe 👻

QRP with something watery!

I still really like this doodle I did for the TKRB 69 minute draw back in the day. I believe this was for the prompt: sea! 🐓🍓🥰

Some more OC things :^) Daichi is usually pretty stoic, but his face can be pretty loud sometimes LMAO

Newest addition to the roster! This is Lady M which could stand for mysterious, meow meow, or just mean for how she toys with Daichi and Saika like playthings 🐈‍⬛🥀

Around the World in 80 Days (1956)

While I love Jules Verne’s works and I think that this adaptation is a beautiful love letter to the novel and the diversity of human cultures for the time period, this movie is definitely representative of its time. I love the ending line LMFAO

Crocodile Dundee (1986)

My friend wanted to watch it LMAO What a guy. Also why is there so much infidelity here LOL

Folk Tales of Japan (2025) Authored and Read by Kyota Ko

My library finally got a copy of this audiobook!! I found this book because of Kyota Ko’s youtube shorts and was so excited to listen to his work! I absolutely love these folktales and the cultural and historical context following each tale!

Wings of Desire (1987)

I have to admit that I picked up this film bc it reminded me of A3’s Winter Troupe’s first play, and I got a beautifully melancholic movie about an angel who observes not only the passage of time but also people’s thoughts and feelings during the Cold War in Germany

Pulp Fiction (1995)

I see why this movie is such a classic now. I had no idea that so many memes came from this movie LMAO but like I don’t think I’ve ever had to take a break during the movie to catch my breath bc shit was my adrenaline PUMPING midway through. I love the circular narrative too!!

Clue (1985)

This movie is so fuckin funny. As of July 2025, it’s going to be leaving Kanopy by the end of the month and I 11/10 recommend this movie if you want some lighthearted dark humor (what an oxymoron LMAO). Tim Curry’s performance in this movie was just [chef’s kiss]

The King in Yellow by Robert W. Chambers (1895) read by Stefan Rudnicki with Gabrielle de Cruir

The first half of short stories were as haunting as Id expected, but what I was not expecting was the second half with the passionate love stories LMAO they were cute I just wasn’t expecting the whiplash

Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne (1864) Read by Simon Prebble

This book was actually really funny LMAO This guy seriously had a sense of humor that I think still holds water. The science doesn’t, but it’s still so compelling. Axel is such a little bich at times I love it LMAO

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (Original Novel by Jules Verne pub 1870) and Deesney’s Adaptation (1954)

Though I do have an issue with their depictions of indigenous people, these pieces were certainly products of their time. I absolutely love the novel and the mystery of Captain Nemo. Movie was ehh

Kpop Demon Hunters (2025)

Also very pleasantly surprised!!!! This was such a cute, heartfelt movie that has pretty good bops and such visual flavor!!!! I love this movie and I definitely see why it’s been getting the attention it has (and why it’s so deserved!)
