The seond applicant was turned down because they didn't have a history of completed projects; isn't withholding funding on this basis the very barrier they are citing to not fund them? The logic seems really circular

My city is currently adding bike lanes to every arterial in my neighborhood and adding modal filters to convert an Arterial to a bikeway!

That may not be the best term but, but hanging your hat on people being dumb for noticing that food costs more (even if he's technically correct average wage growth compensated for it) is a position that leads to defeat for similar reasons Yglesias leads to defeat

That "minor inconvenience" was a major component of the conditions that enabled him to win in the first place, in large part because out-of-touch party loyalists like yourself consider food prices to be merely a "minor inconvenience".
