Not my real name. Sucked at the alternative so now I'm trying my luck here.
Nice.

Have to hit while the iron's hot. In 6 months, something new and bigger will be out and people won't be as likely to put it on at home since it'll be out of the mainstream's eye.

any handouts," it's no wonder why families don't live together for longer periods of time anymore.

Plus that ignores everything about the credit system which started this post.

Absolutely families lived together. That can still happen, but the narrative of "a person in their mid/late-20s who lives with their parents is a failure" was still present even 5 years ago. Combine that with the Boomer mentality of "We had to work for it back in my day so we're not going to give

Anyone whose profile says:

"MAGA! Follow me and trust in my ability to PWN TEH LIBS~"

is an idiot who's engaging in the dumb identity culture warfare that's spewed to them by heavy-handed propaganda. You're a troll who doesn't even know they're a pawn.

That was a wholesome moment. Although most people don't realize he had a hilarious follow up though:

JIMMY CARTER: ".. But please don't look me in the eye."

Bro, screw the credit system. We need to abolish any system that starts with the concept that you must first have debt before you can buy more debt. It only drives consumption and is now weaponized against poor people.

That being said, huge Bernie fan, great step in the right direction.

... For some that line is blurrier than others. I'm willing to bet that the people who are heavily invested in this capitalistic system that creates conditions for oligarchy, have a harder time figuring out where line is.

I understand the point of what he's saying. There needs to be dissenting voices to popular opinion to ensure minority rights aren't squashed. But there's a weird line between supporting minority opinion to ensure a healthier debate and then flat out killing democratic institutions....

Wtf is her background? That is some heavy handed symbolism. It's almost like a villain from a superhero movie.
December 30, 2024 at 5:58 PM
that might go against your personal vendetta. (And I imagine these are easier to get if your judge has been handpicked too.)

Okay. I'm stopping now. My vision is going black.

The case was dismissed and the Dems were like "Yeah, we'll go by the federal laws because we actually certify results."

But the wording of the law just goes to show that these simple things have become so complex that now you can litigate anything, or get a temporary injunction to stop anything...
December 30, 2024 at 5:29 AM
Did anyone else have to read that twice?

This was the main point of issue in one of these court cases. The Republicans were making sure the Democrats couldn't balk and pretend to be confused by the wording and not certify the state election result.
December 30, 2024 at 5:28 AM
A bastardized quote from your site:

"Federal law says electors meet: 'on the first Tuesday after the second Wednesday in December.' State law says to 'meet on the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December.'"

It's like the laws are purposefully written to confuse and disengage people.

Cable news died years ago for most people under the age of 30. Get off cable and download TikTok for the next 3 weeks. At least there's a broader point of view.

And in the episodes I've seen, the teams made up of people of color have lost. I think it's a bunch of white culture writers who create and filter out questions which creates implicit bias. It's too bad really. Should be more even.

I heard he only knows the London opening and the French defense. What a rube.
December 28, 2024 at 6:18 PM
You say that with such confidence. Too bad there's no way to prove that. I'd be more apt to believe that if she had been given a bigger role under the Biden administration and performed well.
December 28, 2024 at 6:13 PM
That's a horrible thought. lol. Bunch of racist rich people who use their time to perpetuate lies.
December 28, 2024 at 5:14 AM
Well it's self-improvement under the guise of capitalism. They think they're improving because that's what the system tells them. Get money, have power, be successful. We have to change those metrics of success -- which is culturally driven by our institutions.
December 28, 2024 at 5:12 AM
Absolutely. Just because I hate dogs doesn't mean I curse out the people walking their dog past me.

I just spit at them.

It's because the campaign news-cycle is over, and now here comes the faux outrage against the Republican administration that the levers of governmental power are too weak to resist.
