In the Denver snow, right? They can blame their own players who agreed to keep playing.
The referee that night pulled the captains together and asked it they wanted to keep playing and both teams said yes.
And compared to Minnesota it wasn't that cold that night either.

Mid December to Mid February can be pretty brutal here.
The USMNT played Honduras a few years back on Feb 5 and a few players and fans ended up with hypothermia. It's dangerous to play in those conditions.
