The paradox is easily resolved if we view tolerance as a social contract rather than a moral imperative; if someone violates the terms of the contract by being intolerant, they forego any claim to being tolerated.

That's not how it worked between FDR & Reagan. Between the beginning of the New Deal & Reagan beginning to dismantle it, even the lowest-paid jobs could provide for a family. Now, money that should go into wages goes into stock manipulation & financial finagling solely to enrich the wealthy.

No, these mass deportations are making EVERYTHING worse. There will be serious shortages of food because of lack of workers to pick produce. Immigrants pay taxes & contribute to Social Security even though they're ineligible to collect benefits. Above all, no human is "illegal".

If the Constitution does not protect the targets of ICE raids, it protects nobody. The surest guarantor of liberty & freedom is rule of law under just & equitable laws written with wisdom & compassion. Without laws (or under unjust laws) there is only "Might makes Right" under the law of the jungle.

The laws & SEC regulations inhibiting stock buybacks were so stringent they were practically (de facto) illegal; that's as good as making them de jure illegal, which we should do.

Then why didn't stock declines and/or crashes happen on a regular basis during the period (1934 to 1982) when stock buybacks WERE illegal? In fact, ordinary people's greatest share of general prosperity came during that period when stock buybacks were seen as illegal manipulation.

It always amazes me how apologists - of ANY religion - refuse to see the single biggest problem with their schtick: the fact that their Deity needs them to proclaim & defend the existence of said Deity in the first place. Why does any Deity need salesmen to prove that he/she/they exist?

And the vast majority of the women & girls accusing Trump of sexual assault say they never consented, and even begged Trump to stop, but he continued to assault them. That kind of forcible rape is a horrific crime regardless of the victim's age.
