That is an insulting question but I’ll answer it anyway—no way and no how.

Never said I supported him as a candidate. Only that he is someone standing up to Trump, and getting those 5 added seats is really important. Sheesh.

I never said anything about letting trans kids die. Nothing.
August 9, 2025 at 8:38 PM
Really? I would have thought pushing through redistricting in California to offset the 5 gerrymandered districts in Texas would make him an ally, unless you're fine with, I don't know, losing the House again and having Speaker Johnson preside over the certification of the 2028 election?

The New York Times is the Susan Collins of journalism.

Trump is not an honest mediator in this dispute. He favors one side, Russia, always has, always will. Zelenskyy would be crazy to negotiate seriously even if it risks the US cutting off aid.
August 9, 2025 at 6:54 PM
Yes, and a good bit of the responsibility for this loss of freedom is journalism, specifically, the both-sides, horse race, access journalism practiced by our subservient corporate media.

The mouth-watering recipe for one-sheet roast chicken and root veggies will make you forget Trump is shielding pedophiles and refuses to release the Epstein files.

Please show me where I said I don’t support trans people. I said I don’t favor exiling Newsom. You took that an endorsement of everything Newsom has said or done. I don’t agree with him on everything, but your blanket approach alienates people and is not the way to win elections.
August 9, 2025 at 2:46 PM
Yes. But it will be impossible to negotiate when Trump, the mediator, is so openly pro-Russia.

Robbie vecchia?

All I said was I’m not writing off Gavin Newsom. Nowhere did I say that I agreed with him on every issue. That was you. In fact there is no politician anywhere that I agree with on everything. And Newsom redistricting for 5 seats is hugely important to regain the House and certify the EC in 2028.
August 9, 2025 at 2:35 PM
Thanks. That means a lot. And we agree that coalition building and getting out in front of issues instead of following polling data is the way forward. But that also means we have win. We’ve seen in the last 6 months how bad it can get, and there’s still 18 months to go. IMO 2026 is existential.
August 9, 2025 at 2:24 PM
Gavin Newsom may be your enemy but he’s not mine. My tent is larger than yours. Winning in 2026 is the only way to insure that an eventual Democratic winner gets certified, and IMO writing people off so quickly is a really bad idea. Elections have consequences, losing has greater consequences.

I don’t like people accusing me of things I never said.

Lincoln Bedroom, two drink minimum. And wait ‘til you see the price of the drinks!
August 9, 2025 at 2:06 PM
I understand why you feel that way and why you have a stricter list of non-starters than I do. And most voters do.
August 9, 2025 at 2:03 PM
Aww, that’s so sweet. My “tactics” are an opinion. You don’t like it? Fine, duly noted. And you are accusing me of things I never said.
August 9, 2025 at 1:48 PM
“demands of persecuted minorities? Where the fuck did you get that? Speaking of “arrogant lecturing” . . .
August 9, 2025 at 1:44 PM
My father fought in WW2 as well, not that it really matters. And no one is excusing Nazism, but Newsom doesn’t deserve exile because he one podcast guest is offensive. Particularly given the thin stable of fighters in the Democratic Party.
August 9, 2025 at 1:41 PM
I get it now. Good is the enemy of perfect! After all, winning elections has no consequences.
August 9, 2025 at 1:33 PM
This is an ingenious strategy on Trump’s part. He can step from table to table accepting bribes like it’s speed dating, then go back in the Oval and grant pardons, order tariff exemptions, drop criminal charges, approve mergers, order investigations. Saves time and effort. It’s a money machine!
