Congrats to Syracuse.com Washington reporter Mark Weiner for winning a top prize last night at the DC congressional dinner for his story on a local congressman devoting more time to national GOP issues than key local matters.
Would have liked to see Rickie Collins get a turn at quarterback for Syracuse University. Yes he underperformed as the initial SU fill-in qb but at least he could throw the ball downfield. The other qbs showed no such ability. The result another bad loss Sat — this time to 1-10 Boston College.

Connecticut's Chris Freeman hit a field goal against Syracuse to force OT when the Sirius XM's broadcast stopped and switched to UAB-Navy. Just like the 1968 Jets-Raiders game when NBC pulled the telecast before the exciting ending to broadcast Heidi. Luckily ESPN showed SU's exciting overtime win.
