China has ~48000 km of high speed rail line & is more intricately connected than my vision, cost ~$840 B.
So, $200 B seems like a fair cost for connecting the US at major hubs.
Even using the $840 B math would work; stop declining tax $ by giving cuts to a class who uses that $ to keep us down.

The United States could be connected via major hubs across the entire nation with high speed rail. The cost would be around $200 billion, unfortunately, we cannot afford it due the the annual $250-400 billion in tax cuts for the wealthy.
