really like this crisp graph...might take a shot at replicating it in tableau
daily attendance trend for the minnesota state fair since 2013. the graph is a dot strip plot, with each dot representing attendance on a day of the fair, by weekday. the weekends are emphasised with a light gray background instead of white, and darker green dots.

update: haven’t been to the walker yet, but did MIA + Baba’s this weekend with some friends who were visiting from out of town. I got the Palestinian Plate, 10/10 will definitely be going again!

At this point, if you feel your 'algorithm' is better on a different platform...it's a skill issue. Why stay somewhere that has your worst interests at heart? Sure it takes more effort to build community other places but I'd rather have control instead of handing it freely to the current overlords.

re: the stacked columns, I don't love the long horizontal bars. I like pulling out the 'unsure' / neutral category off to the side, something like this:

hitting “show more/less like this” helps. but also, there’s not really an algorithm so you kinda have to either follow more people, or start following more feeds to see stuff outside your curated “bubble.” i recommend goodfeeds.co for exploring on that front

In January, I submitted an Idea to the IdeaExchange to add Bluesky links as an option for Tableau Public Profiles. I was really excited to see this feature added in! Now I can direct folks visiting my profile to where I'm actually hanging out online these days.

I love Tableau Public but I find the placement of vizzes in a side panel covering the viz profoundly irritating. I don't think this is rolled out to all users, but if you have it and also find it annoying, please give my idea an upvote + add your comments here: ideas.salesforce.com/s/idea/a0BHp...
