Of course the age of retirement should be the same for both sexes (obviously) but there should have been some phasing to recognise the difficulties for women

Personal financial planning relating to retirement is the work of decades over a working life and to find out a year before that one would no longer be reaching retirement age at 60 but needed to plan for a further seven years is not enough time to do that properly.
