Great article! I have a pristine copy of the US release sat on my special shelf of mysterious games that I'll probably never play because I like looking forward to playing them too much. Reminds me of gazing upon the unobtainable bounty of Amiga games in 1980s WHSmith as a Spectrum owner.

Happy memories of playing this with my brother back in the day, even though the winner could be predicted with almost 100% accuracy based on the randomly assigned spell list. Range attacks FTW!

Just be careful which power supply you use! I can't remember the exact details, but mine was bricked immediately by the Raspberry Pi one I tried to use. I watched a YouTube video of some guy identifying the design flaw.

It always amused me that this game was developed in response to a request sent in to Jim'll Fix It. The kid could've asked for a game about anything he wanted and he chose being miserable in a supermarket! 😂

Ah, the one that got away! I remember spotting this, hidden away on the top shelf of my local GAME. I'd heard it was quite short, so didn't buy it. What a fool I was! 😢
