I'm so excited to see this progress. She's too heavy to take easily to a con unless I'm feeling silly but I've dreamed of this prop for ages so I'm super happy to see it happening lol.

Progress on the sandseal.
Those legs took up my entire day between sewing them together and getting them positioned. Now to just sew them to the body.

I'm finally starting my official prop for this- an actual sand seal! She's just a tiny one lol.
Anyway I patterned this via tape and hope; it came out pretty good! The only part I've had to really figure out is the face, since the model I printed was so small lol.

(This cat, guys. She used to be so shy that people didn't know we had three cats for years. She came out of her shell a while back but has been the sweetest girl recently. Lots of cuddles when you don't feel good.)

Been at a horse show all day helping with this filly and while it's been fun and interesting (I've only shown open, QRT or Half-Arabian)... all I can think about is sewing. 😂🫠💀 This week has robbed me of any crafting and I'm over it LOL. You know it's bad when gorgeous horses can't distract me.

I'm making a giant leaf saddle pad for a costume event for my horse, Mo. Yesterday I got the shell dyed.
It's unfortunate that this fabric didn't really gradient dye the way I expected, but it's still pretty and looks enough like a leaf lol. Can't wait to do my bias tape trim and details.

One of my biggest realizations is that I can make my text areas about half the size, which would allow larger pics, or just more of them. The transition from screen to print really catches me off guard lol.

If anyone is interested in my Gerudo build book, here it is! I'm still new to making these and I know there's improvements to be had (and that the final page is unconventional) but I think it's important to share and learn from each other!

One critic I got at the RCCC comp was about my fabric choice for the pants and top (though the judges understood it was hard to find this color). I forgot to ask what they would recommend instead! Friends said linen or cotton mix, but I wanted to see if anyone here had some recommendations as well.
