I’m excited about the Texas result, but with a big caveat: this was a runoff after a two-Republican field, and the numbers suggest more GOP voters stayed home than switched. Positive sign, yes nationwide trend, maybe not yet.

This is a real flip and that matters especially in a seat Trump carried by 17. At the same time, runoff dynamics and turnout drop-off likely played a role, so I’d call this an encouraging signal rather than a nationwide forecast.
