Yup, I know they did development in Crawley, I think it was Thompson by 1991 but I don't have any names. I turned down a job there at the time, developing on transputers!

Thompson, Link Miles, Hughes Rediffusion were the big names in flight simulators back then.

I worked on Harrier simulators at BAe Dunsfold in the late 80s. VME based to act as the backbone for all the aircraft boxes and SGI Iris running the cockpit and visual display interface. I still have memories of how advanced and realistic they all felt at the time.
