This morning Gisele Pelicot was asked why she hasn't dropped her last name

She replied that she didn't want her family to be "ashamed" of who they were

"I don't want my grandchildren to feel shame," she said.

"We will remember Madame Pelicot and not Monsieur Pelicot."
