I’ll look for it. In the meantime, there’s a report on the LOC blog about their own experiment using AI for cataloging. Not a clear refutation but it does acknowledge that the tech is not (currently) sufficient.

Here’s what I don’t understand: The cost of most colleges is exorbitant, and students would be fine if their professors outsourced everything to AI? My students regularly comment that I’m one of the few profs that gives real feedback on their work. But unis think they want professorbots??
