![As I've taken more selfies over the past year, it marks a turning point in my development, I guess you could say.

The year I came out (years differ depending on who you are), I rarely smiled for pictures, let alone took my own selfies. I think 2017 is the biggest tell for that. I wasn't happy or comfortable in my own body, and in a previous post, I did give myself shit for that.
Today, 7/8 years later and almost 4 years after starting HRT, you can see I'm a lot happier, even in a more neutral expression.

And while I like to make the joke that the previous iteration of myself is deceased, he isn't, he made way for the woman you see before you today. But make no mistake, I am not him. And he was not me. I am Brooke, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
